Our Work
Since 2020, The Sow Portfolio has worked with over 50 clients to provide excellent written and communication services to high school and college students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and authors. No job is too big, and no project is too small for us to tackle. We invite you to take a look at some of our recent projects that we're most proud of:

01
Book Editing with a Purpose
Our most recent book editing project was commissioned by researchers, professors, and scholars for A Study Abroad Manual: For Promoting Pan-African Consciousness and Action. Over the course of five months, our founder served as the lead editor, consulted with over 15 individuals, and edited essays that compiled the full work. The book was published at the University of Ghana in 2023.
02
Crafting Timeless Narratives
The Sow Portfolio worked with Solutions Pour Vêtements for over two years to develop a brand narrative that shares a unique story rooted in tradition. Our founder was able to craft a variety of content, including boilerplates, biographies, blogs, impact statements, and so much more, focusing on the designer's background in custom design alterations.

03
Consulting with the Future Generation
With a passion for youth development and education, our founder works steadfastly with high school and college students toward achieving their educational and professional goals. Fatou has helped over 15 students get accepted into four-year institutions, and various adults receive job offers through personal statement, resume, and cover letter consultations.
04
Speaking Engagements & Workshops
Fatou hosts various workshops on digital literacy and professional development for the Wayne County Community College District Connecting Minority Communities Project. Recently, she was interviewed by the Moorland Spingarn Research Center to discuss her creative practice in genealogy. In 2023, she hosted her first professional development workshop at the Sadie T.M. Alexander Conference for Economics & Related Fields.
